Shopping Apps
iOS Update Covered By B.T.
As we showcased last month, the iOS app can now group stores in the shopping list. That got covered by B.T.. People were so interested in the update that eTilbudsavis became the 4th most popular iOS app in all of Denmark. And #1 in shopping.
People have also written us saying the update is genius
, and we've received reviews such as:

Fyens Stiftstidende also talked about a student couple that uses the app extensively. Read it here.
Delivering on the Most Requested Feature
The most requested feature we have for the shopping list is something rather interesting. Now, with items grouped into stores, people want to be able to define their own prices. By doing so, they can better estimate how much a shopping trip will cost them. Together with prices on deals, the shopping list is your best friend when shopping. Here's a sneak peek ๐
New Price Regulations in Europe
In May, new legislation took effect concerning price marketing. Retailers have already adapted to this in their catalogs.
If you're curious about this, Dansk Erhverv is hosting a follow-up meet-up in September (in Danish) after their webinar in June that the Danish sales team in Tjek participated in.
Insights
People's Search Behavior Has Changed
Dagligvarehandlen has written an article about that. Takeaway is that minced meet is way higher in demand than before. If you use Insights by Tjek, you'll be able to follow all of these trends to make better decisions like price points, what to put on deal, and much more.

Visiting Posten/Bring

Our great partner, Posten/Bring, got a visit from us this month. We do this regularly to learn new things, coordinate, and simply develop our relationship ๐
And we chose the perfect day to enjoy Oslo - we had sun and 21 degrees celcius!
Say Hello to These Future Developers!

A class from ReDI School of Digital Integration Denmark paid us a visit this month.
ReDI School is a non-profit tech school using tech, code, and computer science to bridge businesses with refugee and immigrant women.
๐ Morten Bo Rรธnsholdt talked about Tjek, our journey, and how he taught himself how to code.
๐กFie Marie Pathuel Jรธrgensen showed some โbehind the scenesโ and shared tips and tricks on companies' recruitment strategies and how to build an attractive profile.
๐ป Anders Christian Hansen explained how we work in Software Development and how we, as a smaller company, differ from larger corporations.
โ๏ธ Last but not least, Marten Sievers explained how we use JavaScript and why coding fundamentals are often underestimated.
Thank you to everyone in the class for visiting us and challenging us with all your great questions.
We canโt wait to see you doing your best out there!
Everyone, Meet Thomas!

Thomas is Support & Services Assistant and Office Manager. And he has been a part of Tjek for an impressive 7,5 years!
Together with the Support & Services Team, he handles incoming support requests from both clients and people using our apps. As Office Manager, he makes sure daily life at our beautiful office runs smoothly ๐ก
โBack in 2015, I joined Tjek because of the environment. I was very surprised to see how many trees we could save by reading catalogs online. This combined with our mission to put people first and help people do their shopping is just a perfect cocktail.โ
Thomas is spending his time with his kids every second week, coaching his youngest daughter's soccer team, watching TV shows, playing soccer, paddle tennis, going to the movies, and spending time with family โฝ๐ฟ
Together with his two daughters, he likes to travel to major cities in Europe - especially London and Hamburg are their absolute favorites! ๐
Thanks for helping our clients, people using our app, and the whole team at the office, Thomas!
Have a Great Summer! ๐
