It's that time of the year: Black Friday. By now, you're either anxious or excited about this holy period in retail. You deserve a break. Grab yourself a cup of tea or coffee, kick back, and read some news – from Tjek 😊
Meet our Incito Tech Lead
You have asked to learn more about Tjek and the people behind. 💛🤍 Meet Marten!
Marten has been a part of Tjek for xx,xxx, xxx seconds. But who’s counting? 😉
He works both as a Product Owner and Technical Lead in our Incito team. Coding, peer-reviews, debugging, monitoring, and strategizing with our Incito Product Manager are all big elements in his daily work life 💻
“At Tjek we put people first in everything we do from office culture to our products. Having the freedom to develop new products within such a setting is hard to find!”
Marten enjoys working with Incito because it’s a new and innovative product that challenges the status quo through automation - something he has done a lot of research on and that he’s very passionate about!
“The culture and product create a perfect match for me and I can bring my strengths to the table, both for Tjek and our clients through products like Incito.” 💪
Marten spends a lot of time with his family and friends enjoying great food and drinks. He loves to travel and discover new cultures but he also enjoys a good movie night or a run on the beach when it’s not raining 🏃🌧️
Thanks for being a part of Tjek, Marten! It's an absolute pleasure 🎉
Danish Doughnuts 📈
Just like it's a tradition to eat Danish doughnuts (æbleskiver) in Denmark during Christmas, the amount of deals is a tradition too. When we compare the number of deals for the last two years until week 46 the amount is almost the same. The first deal hits the market in week 38 (it was the same retailer who was the first again). The next four weeks until Christmas will probably also look like last year. Here's 2020 data:
And 2021 so far:
API's and SDK's
New iOS SDK
A lot of our clients use our SDK's on either iOS, Android, and web to show their catalogs and deals. Clients include Bilka, Netto, Coop, Matas, Elgiganten, and many more.
We'll be launching a completely updated version of our iOS SDK in December. It's completely modularized, modern, using the latest package manager, and much more. Your developers are going to love working with it.
Why update? Your iOS app will show your catalogs faster, the viewing experience will be much faster and slicker, and your implementation will be easier to debug and more stable.
We'll be doing the same to the Android SDK starting next year. Contact your account manager to learn more.
Filter Catalogs by Tags
This is a reminder that we've launched tags for catalogs. Tags allows you to split your catalogs on your own website and apps into groups. This is handy if you have a lot of catalogs, B2B catalogs, seasonal catalogs etc.
Contact your account manager to learn more.
A common pattern when using Incito is adding a menu to give people a better scroll overview. We're launching that on our own website now too. The menu is auto-generated based on your feed data. Don't hesitate to contact us to learn how to do this. We can also help in doing this automatically in your own apps.
Incito is all about creating a limited experience with the best of the best. It's a portal into your stores and webstore. Therefore, giving people the impression there's a start, an end, and sections can go a very long way.
From our data we can see ~17 % of the people who use our shopping app have an Apple Watch. 11 % of the 17 % already use our new Apple Watch app and the number is rising. We're so excited about these numbers and we can't wait to grow them even more. It also shows Apple Watch is quite popular. And this video below, has been viewed more than 11,000 times already:
In Other News
On December 2, we'll be planting 1,000 trees together with Plant et Træ. We're doing this because 500 people replied back to us saying
yes, please to us planting a tree for them. And then we doubled it.
Have a nice day! 👋 Feel free to contact us at email@example.com.
